The Mural room, on the downstairs floor of the farmhouse, gets it name from the wall paintings done by Alfred Riechmuth. The Alpine Mountain scenes provide a lovely backdrop to this comfortably sized room. The room has its own sink, but shares the full bathroom down the hall with Sophie's room. An added feature of the Mural room is the adjoining enclosed sun porch, an excellent place to curl up with a good book. The hand-carved, queen size bed in this room is particularly lovely. French doors open directly on to the main breakfast deck.
The Mural room shares the parlor with Sophie's room, where one can see the finest examples of Alfred's mural paintings, including a scene of Lake Geneva and Chillon castle in Switzerland. SONOMA
