Pictured
at left, the main house resembles an alpine lodge, with decks and
balconies overlooking the Sonoma Valley. When the weather is warm,
breakfast is served on the deck under the umbrellas.
Nestled
into the hillsides of the Sonoma Valley, but just five minutes from
downtown historic Sonoma Plaza sits Sonoma Chalet Cottages and Bed
and Breakfast Inn. Offering exceptional lodging to those craving
privacy, peace and quiet, Sonoma Chalet is charming, quaint and,
admittedly, a little bit quirky. Reminiscent of "Grandma's
House", our inn features seven unique accommodations, each
individually decorated with a wide assortment of antiques, collectibles,
objects, fabrics and unique "bric-a-brac" from a bygone
era. Each of our three country cottages is approximately 400-600
sq. ft., and are named after Grandma Sara Reichmuth and her three
daughters, Laura, Leslie and Sophie.
Set
amid sprawling pastures and 100' eucalyptus trees, Sonoma Chalet
is comprised of the main house which is a large turn-of-the-century
farm house with four guest rooms, and three private, individual
cottages spread among the inn's three and one-half acres of gently
sloping hillside.
